There is so much to prepare in planning a wedding or special event! So many details–and we are concerned that our vendors will drop the ball. Well, we vendors are concerned that there is a gap between what the customer writes (emails, twitters, texts) and what they really mean. So, let’s talk. I mean REALLY talk–on the phone, please. CALL US. We want to clarify, to confirm, to offer more ideas, and we can’t do that efficiently in written form. A “conversation” is live talking.
For example, there are always songs with several titles or artist variations or requested sections. Singing them on the phone will clarify your selection. Weddings and receptions have several segments. Call the reception “the cocktail hour” really confuses musicians whose previous clients have always called “the cocktail hour” the hour BEFORE the reception. A conversation, two-way, live, will clarify that. And so much more, where assumptions and word usage can go wrong.
