Built in 1876 by Augustus Merrimon, a Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, the Merrimon-Wynne house is a wedding and event venue located at the heart of historic downtown Raleigh, and only a few doors down from the Governor’s Mansion.
Style: Historic, southern, traditional, contemporary.
What they offer: The neutral furnishings make the venue ideal for it’s adaptability between traditional and modern affairs. The large lawn offers space for an outdoor ceremony and/or events and games. The whole property take up almost an acre of land.
Three preparation rooms are provided: two for the bridesmaids and one for the groomsmen. There is a separate carriage house, which is an ideal reception and dance floor location, or you can switch it up with the lawn! The venue offers 150 chairs and 20 high top cocktail tables for use.
