There are so many marketing slogans that are applied to weddings such as “Cinderella,” “Princess,” “Storybook,” “Forever After,” “Dream Wedding,” and “Extraordinary.” So, it’s easy to start thinking that your own wedding lacks fairy dust.
Remember, your wedding isn’t a Hollywood movie, but a union of you and your soon-to-be husband/wife; as well as a reunion of your two families and friends. Everything else that goes on that day are precious memories you will tell your grandkids later in life.
Let fail your notions about “The Perfect Couple” because it is impossible to live up to. And, it ultimately makes everyone feel terrible. The true meaning of a perfect couple in the perfect relationship is composed of two people who feel perfectly comfortable sharing the good and bad times together.
