We are happy to have bass player, Tony Galiani, with Save the Date Music. He started as a musician in high school when his friends needed a bass player for their band.
“They told me it was easy,” said Galiani. “Only four strings!”
Galiani enjoyed the bass enough to take lessons.
“I ended up with a teacher who was a New York studio musician and got exposed to all types of music. Between his lessons and the opportunities to hear so many varieties of music since I was living in New York City, my interest just grew from there.”
Today Galiani enjoys playing in small venues where he gets a chance to interact with the audience. He has also done a couple concert performances and loves to offer up information and history about the music he plays. Since his favorite type of music is jazz, Galiani currently is part of his own jazz band, The Ambassadors Big Band.
With a passion for travel and listening to music, Galinai is always open to new musical ideas and combinations. “n the past year I have gotten to hear Christmas music in Germany, Turkish music in Istanbul and swing jazz in Paris and that was great.”
