Wedding DJ Raleigh NC: Final Wedding Season Trends for 2014!

The cake should “take the cake.” Wedding cakes are always a big part of the wedding reception. In recent years, the flavor of the cake has been the most important part of the designing process. Recent trends suggest that in addition to a delicious cake, one must have a sparkly cake. Yes, you read correctly. A sparkly, glittery cake. From a fine, fairy-dusting of sparkle to a wild disco ball type glam, your wedding cake should “take the cake”, as far as bling goes, anyway.

Seasonal flavor is key. Speaking of cake, spring and summer weddings should incorporate citrus flavors. Lemon or orange flavored cakes are trending for spring and summer weddings.

Theme fitting music. If you’re going for an old world, Great Gatsby style wedding, make sure your Raleigh DJ incorporates that into your music. If your theme is vintage, stick with music from the 1950’s and 60’s era.

Surprise your guests. Music is a large part of your wedding day. It’s also one of the most memorable aspects of a wedding and reception. To surprise your guests, use only songs that they know and love, but switch it up by style. Have a symphony play music by Jay-Z, hire a live band that plays bluegrass to play classical tunes. The element of surprise gets the guests excited and ready to enjoy every detail!

These trends are gaining popularity with each passing wedding. If you’d like to stick with the trends, especially the music trends, be sure to contact Save the Date Music.
