Raleigh Wedding DJ: Wedding Plans that are Easy to Do, Last Minute!

Organization is key when planning a wedding. Planning ahead and doing as much as possible in advance is also key. However, our Raleigh wedding DJ says that there are a few things that are better left until the last minute, believe it or not! Below, you’ll find those things that are better done a few days before your big day so they won’t get overlooked in the large scheme of planning! They might be small things but they’re definitely important!

Thank You Cards

Writing thank you cards as you receive them is a great idea. It keeps them from piling up. Instead of writing thank you cards as soon as you receive the gifts (especially because some gifts come as early as 3-5 months before your actual wedding date) just organize them in a way that makes it easier to write them a few days before the wedding. Writing thank you notes can be a great “getaway” excuse. The week before your wedding can get pretty hectic and overwhelming. Use the need to write thank you cards to your advantage!

Check Your Passport

Check that your passports are up to date and have at least six months before they expire as some countries won’t let you in if your passport is due to expire. Get whatever currency you need ordered and make sure your travel tickets are in order.

Contact the Bank

When traveling out of town, especially out of the country, your bank sometimes gets suspicious of the unusual activity and might shut down your account. Go ahead and call the bank, 3-4 days before the big day, to let them know you’re going out of town or out of the country for your honeymoon! They can flag the account and keep embarrassing card refusals at bay!
