If you’re getting married in the next 4-6 months, be sure to take a look at the wedding planning tips below to help you steer clear of the dreaded stress!

Raleigh Wedding DJ: De-stress During Wedding Planning!

Take your time. Often, those that are planning get caught up in the hustle and bustle. Don’t rush through your planning. It’s less stressful if you take your time and plan details with a relaxed mind.

Spend time with friends. During the wedding planning process, you sometimes forget that your friends are just that; your friends. Be sure to spend some downtime with them, away from all the wedding “stuff.” Plan at least one girl’s night each month to wind down and spend quality time with the friends that will be with you on your special day!

Take time for yourself. If you’ve had a particularly stressful day of planning, take 20 minutes and do something that helps you de-stress. Take a bath, do yoga, or take a walk. Taking time for yourself will help you steer clear of unnecessary stress during the planning process.

Plan your wedding the way you want it.  Though this seems like a no-brainer, it’s often not. Many family members love to help with wedding planning. They love it so much so, that their ideas sometimes overrule your own ideas. It’s nice to incorporate a few of their ideas, but don’t let them get carried away. It is your wedding, after all. In addition, nothing is more stressful than trying to accommodate and please everyone during a time that should be mostly about you and your to-be.

Wedding planning can be stressful and overwhelming. Use these tips from our Raleigh wedding DJ to keep the stress at bay, so that you can enjoy being engaged and get excited about wedding planning!
